Section 1602 of the California Fish and Game Code 

Required for any project that will impact the bed, bank or channel of any river, stream or lake; change or use any material from any river, stream, or lake; or, divert water; or, deposit debris, waste or other materials that could pass into any river, stream, or lake.

  1. Section 1602 jurisdictional areas and those activities that may substantially divert or obstruct the natural flow of, or substantially change or use any material from the bed, channel, or bank of, any river, stream, or lake; or deposit or dispose of debris, waste, or other material into any river, stream, or lake

  2. DWR drafts and submits Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (LSAA) application to the CA Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW)

  1. CDFW issues draft LSAA

  2. DWR approves LSAA

  3. CDFW approves LSAA
